Sell the whole system. Let the homeowner finance it from their own phone.
A Finance button on the estimate, invoice, job, or customer record starts a MatchiFi application. The homeowner scans a QR code and applies on their own device. The status comes back to the record in Dispatch Scout, the job closes out with the proof the lender needs, and the lender funds the work.
The estimate is right. The number is the problem.
Most homeowners are not comparing your quote to a competitor. They are comparing it to the balance in their checking account. Without a way to spread the cost, the biggest jobs stall at the kitchen table.
Sticker shock ends the visit
An $11,000 replacement is a sound decision and a hard afternoon. The tech leaves with a maybe, and the maybe rarely calls back.
Becoming the bank is not the answer
In-house payment plans mean your shop carries the risk, chases the balance, and ties up cash you need for trucks and inventory.
Paper applications kill the moment
A financing partner that lives in a separate portal means re-typing the customer, printing a form, and calling the office for a status. The energy drains out of the sale.
Dispatch Scout puts the Finance button on the record you already have open. The homeowner applies on their phone with MatchiFi, the lender takes the credit risk, and the status lands back on the estimate. Your shop sells the job. Somebody else lends the money.
From Finance button to funded, on one record the whole way
Here is a heat pump replacement the way it happens with MatchiFi inside Dispatch Scout. Every step writes to the same estimate, job, and customer, so nothing is re-keyed and nobody hunts for a status.
Press Finance on the estimate You
The tech opens the estimate in Dispatch Scout on web, iOS, or Android and presses Finance. A consent screen shows exactly what will be sent to MatchiFi: the customer's name and email, the service address, the job type, and the estimate total. Check the box and submit. The checkbox belongs to this one application and is never remembered from the last.
Hand the homeowner a link Homeowner
The financing screen has one job: get the link off your tablet and onto their phone. A large QR code, a copy button, and send by text or email. The homeowner fills in the application on their own device. Dispatch Scout never sees a Social Security number, a date of birth, or an income figure.
The lender decides Lender
MatchiFi matches the application to a consumer lender, and the lender approves or declines. Loan documents are signed with the lender, usually by email. The progress strip on the estimate moves to Approved, with the date.
Install the equipment and capture the proof Your tech
Model number, serial number, and a photo of every installed unit, captured on the job's Equipment tab while the tech is still standing next to it. A financed job cannot close without them, and the mobile apps have the equipment screens to capture them.
Attach the completion certificate Your office
The signed completion certificate goes on the job from the financing screen. That is the lender's proof the work was done. With both items in place the checklist reads Ready to close out.
The lender funds, you record the payment LenderThen you
When the loan funds, the next status check brings the funded amount, the lender, and the funding date back to the record. An amber notice on the financing screen points to the invoice, so the payment is recorded against the right job. See how payments and QuickBooks sync work.
Financing that behaves like part of the product
MatchiFi is wired into the records, the screens, and the completion rules your team already uses. Nothing to bolt on and nothing to re-key.
Finance on four records
Estimate, invoice, job, and customer record each carry the Finance button. Start from whichever is open. The amount follows: the estimate total, or the balance still owed on an invoice. The homeowner can change it.
Consent that shows its work
Before anything is sent, staff see the exact fields going to MatchiFi. Missing pieces, such as a last name or a ZIP code, are named on the consent screen rather than failing in front of the customer.
QR, link, text, or email
Whatever gets the application onto the homeowner's phone fastest. Customers marked do not contact are never texted or emailed, so the QR code and copy link are always there.
Status on the record
A progress strip reads Submitted, Approved, Funded, with the date of each. Declined and Expired appear when an application leaves that path. Check status pulls the latest from MatchiFi on demand, and Dispatch Scout checks on its own every two hours.
No duplicate applications by accident
If an application is already open for that record, Dispatch Scout says so and offers to reopen it. The homeowner is never handed two competing loan requests because two people pressed the button.
Close-out the lender can pay against
Installed equipment with model, serial, and photo, plus the signed completion certificate. Both are required on a financed job, and a manager override does not clear them.
Right to cancel, on screen
An approved or funded application shows a 72 hour Buyers Right To Cancel window counted from approval. It is labelled as a Dispatch Scout default, so nobody mistakes it for a state statute.
Nothing sensitive in your CRM
No credit application, no Social Security number, no income, no credit score is stored in Dispatch Scout. There is nothing to secure, export, or leak, because it was never there.
Financing without becoming a lender
The homeowner applies with MatchiFi. The lender makes the credit decision and carries the risk. Dispatch Scout keeps the status and the link. That boundary is deliberate, and it is what keeps your shop out of the lending business.
Name, email, service address, job type, and the amount when there is one. That is the whole payload, and staff see it before they submit.
Identity, income, and anything else the lender asks for go straight to MatchiFi from the homeowner's own phone.
Approval, rates, terms, loan documents, and the release of funds all live with the lender. MatchiFi does the matching.
Submitted, Approved, Declined, Expired, and Funded, plus the funded amount, the lender, and the funding date, on the record where your team works.
No credit data ever lands in Dispatch Scout. The separation is the design, and it is what your techs should tell a customer who asks.
Ready to close out?
The two things a lender needs before it pays
A lender releases money against proof the work was done, and that proof is the completion certificate. MatchiFi builds it from the equipment you installed. Dispatch Scout will not let a financed job close without that information captured, because completing the job anyway does not make the money arrive.
Equipment details
Every unit linked to the job as installed needs a model number, a serial number, and a photo. Capture it on the Equipment tab, in the browser or the mobile app, while the tech is next to the unit.
Completion certificate
The signed document is attached to the job from the financing screen as a PDF or a photo, up to 25MB. A manager override cannot clear this one or the equipment check.
Both rules are account settings under Account Settings, Jobs, Job Completion, and both are on by default. Techs completing a financed job in the mobile app see the same two messages and stop in the same place.
What it does not do, said plainly
We would rather you know now than find out on a funded job. Each item below is built so that when MatchiFi supplies the missing piece, it starts working without changing how your team works.
The lender does. Dispatch Scout shows you what the lender decided and when.
Not on the consent screen, not in a note, not in a custom field. The application lives with MatchiFi.
Status is checked every two hours and whenever someone presses Check status. The screen tells you when it last looked.
MatchiFi reports the funded amount and not the dealer fee, so you record the net your bank received rather than Dispatch Scout guessing at a number for your books.
Techs kick off financing from the estimate on web, iOS, and Android. The signed completion certificate is the browser-only step: attach it from the financing screen in a browser (usually the office).
Equipment is entered in MatchiFi by hand today, and the certificate is uploaded by hand. The screen says so where it matters.
The 72 hour window on screen is a Dispatch Scout default. The lender's paperwork governs.
Put a Finance button on your next big estimate
MatchiFi financing is part of the flat $40 per user per month. No financing module and no per-application fee from Dispatch Scout. Rates, terms, and any dealer fee are set by the lender.
